I’ll be honest. I’m a little skeptical whenever someone promises that repeating a few positive phrases will completely change your mindset.
Life is usually more complicated than that. Confidence comes from learning new skills, solving problems, making mistakes, and discovering that you can handle things you once thought you couldn’t.

But that doesn’t mean our words don’t matter.
The way we talk to ourselves matters just as much as the way we talk to other people. Most of us would never say some of the things to a friend that we say to ourselves after a rough day.
That’s why I like positive affirmations when they’re used as reminders instead of magic. I also have free printable affirmation cards for kids lunchboxes (or anywhere, really).
I have other therapy and related coloring pages on this site, such as:
These printable coloring pages combine encouraging messages with a relaxing creative activity. Whether you’re coloring to unwind after a stressful day, using them as part of a counseling session, adding them to a classroom calm-down corner, or simply looking for a mindful screen-free activity, they offer a chance to slow down for a few minutes and reflect on messages like “I believe in myself,” “I am capable of amazing things,” and “It’s okay to make mistakes. I learn and I grow.”

Who Can Use These Coloring Pages?
One thing I like about these pages is that they aren’t designed for one specific age group. Children may enjoy coloring them during social-emotional learning lessons or counseling sessions. Teens often appreciate them as a quiet mindfulness activity. Adults may use them for journaling, stress relief, or simply because coloring is relaxing.
I know we tend to label printables by age, but this is one of those resources that works because the message is universal. Everyone has days when they need a reminder that mistakes are part of learning, kindness starts with ourselves, and being unique isn’t something to apologize for.
I don’t believe there’s a printable out there that can “fix” self-esteem. If there were, I’d have shared it years ago. But I do believe small moments matter. Taking a few minutes to color, talk, reflect, or simply pause can be a worthwhile break from the constant rush of everyday life.
If these pages spark a good conversation, encourage a little self-kindness, or just give someone a peaceful few minutes with a box of colored pencils, then they’ve done exactly what I hoped they would.
