WHEN EVERY IEP PARENT MUST WRITE TO THEIR TEAM
IEP Parents must consistently communicate their concerns to their IEP teams.
Here are 5 parts of the IEP process where you should be submitting written communication.
BEFORE & AFTER
Before the IEP evaluations, you want to make sure all of your concerns are noted.
After the evaluations, you want to be clear about which parts of the report you agree or don’t agree with.
Parent Concerns Letter should be submitted at least once a year, usually prior to your annual IEP meeting.
After every IEP meeting, you should write an After IEP Meeting Email to document what was discussed.
When the final IEP and PWN is presented to you, you should return it with a parent letter of attachment.
